Stephen Mark Smith the First was born in Irving, Texas, and learned to play guitar the wrong way (upside-down). But then he got really good at playing guitar wrong and figured out how to create sounds that nobody playing guitar the right way seemed to ever be able to do. In Olympia, WA, his band Camp Wisdom rose to local prominence on the strength of his songwriting, and his current project Sawtooth captivates the hearts and minds of anyone with a heart or a mind. This is Stevie's music performed by his friends who love him.
